I keep hearing these words spoken to my heart. The Holy Spirit keeps speaking them. “Will you trust Me?” “Will you trust Me with this?” “What about this?”
Not gonna lie, it can be a scary place to be. Not a bad scary, if that makes sense. I really want to take matters into my own hands, but I also want to see Him move miraculously. Can’t have it both ways.
This is mostly going on with circumstances with the upcoming mission trip. But, there was a little event where He spoke it recently. I dropped my cell phone in the toilet. It started freaking out, so I took the battery out and put it all in a bowl of rice. Panicking, thinking I’d have to come up with the money for a new phone. and I don’t have a land line, so how was I gonna contact anyone? “Are you going to trust Me with this?” It was perfectly fine 20 hours later.
We were waiting for Rebecca’s passport to come in, knowing He could make it show up the day before we left and it’d still be OK. Heard yesterday that she already has it. Amazing, with 2 weeks to spare
Last update I said we were like 90% funded or something like that. I was wrong, we’re more like 75%. Plane tickets cost more than I had hoped, and more funds are needed while on the trip. At first I had a panic attack. Thinking I messed up buying the tickets, maybe I should have waited for a better, last-minute sale, what if we don’t have the money??? “Are you going to trust Me with this?”
while we seem really far off goal in my eyes, He knew all along how much we’d need. We know if we’re meant to go the money will be there. Even if it’s the day before we leave. (deep breath!)
some of the daily scripture verses I’ve been sent recently kinda put the “!” on this trust lesson:
Deuteronomy 31:6 “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Galatians 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”
And some of the daily scripture verses I’ve been sent recently on the trusting Him with my health lesson:
Isaiah 40:31 “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Habakkuk 3:19 “The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.”
Psalm 103:2-3 “Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.”
Psalm 121:7-8 “The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever”
All scripture from the New Living Translation
