Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart”
What if God told you that He was going to give you your heart’s desire? Notice the desire, not desires. Would you freak out like me and wonder which desire He’s talking about? I mean, seriously, which one?? Or does He mean all? I think in time He means all, but what if I only could choose one right now? Would I be wise like Solomon and ask for wisdom? Or impulsive and ask for riches? Now, riches are not my heart’s desire, but being out of debt is. But so is meeting my husband, doing missions, being healed of MS and PCOS, and seeing my family come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ…
I’m over thinking this.
A friend told me yesterday that God had a word for me (yes, I believe God speaks to His people, directly and sometimes through others). The word was “that Everything that you’ve been waiting for is on its way. Everything meaning, that He will not with hold the desire of your heart.”
Yep, everything. but THE desire. I thought I knew what this meant when she told me… maybe I should just stick with that…. OH! It’s like Christmas Eve and I can’t wait to open the present in the morning!!!!
Now, can you see why I’m over thinking this????
