September has flown by, hasn’t it?
Went to Colorado a week and a half ago. We had a Foursquare district conference (my denomination) in Keystone. It was so pretty there. The conference was really good too. The theme of the conference was Bloom, bloom in your church, in the community, and in the nation/world. Heard some good teaching, met some awesome people, and had a great time. We were able to fly home a bunch of our missionaries for the conference and I got the opportunity to talk with some of them. I met a couple from Albania and a guy from Taiwan. Pretty exciting!
Speaking of missions… I might know where I’m going next year. Can’t really say here for security reasons, but let’s just say it’s in Asia 🙂
After the conference I got to spend some time with family in Longmont, about an hour out of Denver. My mom’s oldest sister and her adult kids live there, along with all their pets! It was nice to catch up and see each other, it’s been too long. Oh, and my cousin has a boyfriend who’s a wonderful guy, so happy for her!
School is going well. At the 3/4 point in the 8-weeks intensive and I’m making 2 A’s and a B. A little disappointed in the B, but that’s just my perfectionism. Registration already started for Spring classes, excited to see what I can take next!
A little over 2 weeks from now I get to go to FL for a week! This time for an actual vacation! I’m so much looking forward to it! Bonus: I’ll be in-between intensives and will have NO homework!! Yay!!
Almost done with reading through the Bible. I think instead of 90 days it’ll take me a total of 120, but I’m still going to finish. It got difficult to stay on schedule with all the reading I have to do for school, but I’m glad I took the challenge. I might just do it again starting in October to end off the year.
Lost a few pounds on vacation! Did a lot of walking in the mountains, I’m sure that helped. So, to keep that up, I’m registered for 2 more 5k’s this year, one in Oct and one on Thanksgiving. Gotta keep training!
