Book Description
Who is Running the Church, Fear or Faith? is a provocative, controversial examination of God’s glory. A must read self-examination which challenges spiritual leaders and Christians of today, Cynthia Butler’s new book challenges the role of the church, the devil, and God in daily life. In this thought-provoking read, Butler challenges the Christian belief that people can rule over the earth as well as God himself and begs the question, “who is really running the Church?”
My Review
Unfortunately, this time I can’t give a positive book review. The whole time I was reading this book, I kept asking, ‘Did someone actually edit this??” The idea of the book is good, the topic is timely and I was looking forward to the potential, but I was very much disappointed. Maybe it’s because I’m writing college-level papers now, but bad grammar and bad punctuation drive me crazy! This book is full of both and the thoughts aren’t very well-organized. I’m sure if the author was speaking instead of writing, the message would have seemed a lot clearer. But as it stands as a book, I cannot recommend it. All of this was on top of the fact that I requested the book in mid-August, still haven’t received it, only to find it available as an e-book.
