Mid July 2019

10 days post-operation and I’m starting to feel better. I had my gallbladder removed on 7/11. I was having some pain and stuff from it because there was a stone in it that was about an inch in diameter. How big is a gallbladder usually? Not sure, but that was a big stone. It was laparoscopic and I have 3 small incision marks. I’m feeling much better, just still a little sore and a tiny bit weak. Went shopping at Walmart yesterday and it did me in. The 100+ heat index didn’t help either, so I didn’t do much of anything last night.

I got 3 days off of work, then worked from home the other 4. Working from home isn’t necessarily all it’s cracked up to be. I mean, it was nice and I got a lot of things done, but I don’t feel like I was able to get as much done as I would have in the office. Most of what I did get done was email. My work laptop can be painfully slow and in the office there are things to do besides just stare at it and get frustrated. But hey, I was able to clock hours, so that’s definitely a good thing!

Things have been stressful and the surgery about put me over the edge. The time recouping gave me a just to relax and regroup. I get to go back to a fairly regular routine tomorrow with going back in the office and getting back in the cadence of hitting the gym. My trainer was out of the country so it worked out with my recovery time. I can’t lift anything this week but we have plenty of other things I can do. I should have been more active these past few days, which I really noticed after my post-op appointment this past Wednesday. But I physically feel better and think the surgery is going to end up making my body happier in the long run.

I have lost a lot over the past 2 weeks, which is partly due to side effects of the surgery. I also have been pretty good at controlling my calorie intake, regardless of being stuck at home.

What else?? I’m moving! Just a little over a mile north of where I am now. The place is smaller which means it’s cheaper. It’s a little dated and the kitchen and bathroom haven’t been updated, but it’s still cute and comes with a washer & dryer in the basement. Same landlord, so no new security deposit or credit check.

That’s about all for now. I need to start getting ready for church and stuff this morning. Hope you all are blessed, and sorry for not checking in sooner.

I want to be as open as possible, safely anyway. If I've been set free in something, maybe I can encourage someone else to seek God and they can be free too!
