Hard to believe I’ve already been home for 2 weeks. I think I’ve finally recovered too, geez.
I don’t think I explained how big of deal it was that I got in the ocean that one day. See, I’m afraid of water, especially water of which I can’t see or feel the bottom. I never learned to swim. Maybe someday. The other amazing thing about that day was that I was actually willing to wear a swim suit in public. I think my body is ugly. yep, blunt and honest, that’s how I feel.
Anyway, I really don’t want to talk about that.
Soooooo, God told me something in Costa Rica that seemed to amazing to be true. I haven’t been sharing it a lot because, well, if I’m crazy and it’s not true, I’ll look like a fool… He told me that He has healed, and is still healing, me of MS. He also told me not to use it an excuse anymore too. The progressive healing thing can be confusing. See, because of the beating He took before the cross and His death on the cross, we are healed. I just assumed that meant in Heaven we’ll have new bodies and all disease will be gone. That’s true, we won’t experience true health until we, who have excepted Jesus’ gift of salvation, get to Heaven and are in Glory. I know God heals people in this world too, I just figured I was going to have to wait. Hence the want to end my life that I talked about in a previous post. So, instead of having an instantaneous healing, I’ll have to trust Him to gradually heal me, knowing His grace is enough for me in the meantime.
So, did I just freak anyone out? Not everyone, even all Christians, believe miraculous healings still happen. Nor do many believe that God speaks to people. Think I’m crazy if you want, but I believe and have experienced both. Sometimes the healing comes through medication, sometimes its just from His power. I’ll take it either way. And, yes, God speaks to me.
You don’t have to take my word for it, ask Him to do it for you. Double check that anything you hear is Biblical, He never goes against His Word when He speaks to us.
Let me know what He tells you.
here’s a couple pics from the trip. there are a lot more on FB, but you have to be my friend or a friend of a friend to see them
